OnDecember2,2009AltecLansingwasacquiredbyProphetEquityLP,aTexas-basedoperationally-orientedprivateequityfirm.Asaresultofthisnewownership,AltecLansingiscontinuingtotakeactivestepstostrengthenitsleadershipteamasthecompanyexpandsintonewmarketsegments.InNovember2010,theCompanypurchasedacompetitorinthelifestyledockingcategory.TheCompanyalsopurchasedasoftwarecompanytohelpitcompeteintheemergingmarketfornetworkedaudiodevices.
